Terms of Business

Acceptance

Acceptance of Terms of Business are deemed to be accepted is confirmed by thesubmission of acompleted booking form, and/or email confirmation of a booking.

Payment of Fees

Course fees for all Open Enrolment Courses (open to the public) are payable at the time of booking.

For In House Training (delivered on site) a 50% deposit must be paid at the time of booking with full payment made on or before the date of delivery. Certificates will not be issued without full payment being received.

Payment can be made by either a BACS transfer, cheque or via paypal.

Cancellation – Open Enrolment Courses

If a candidate gives 21 days’ notice a full refund will be given.

If less than 21 days’ notice is provided, 50% of the fee will be refunded. (If they are unable to attend due to illness every effort will be made to transfer them to another course at the earliest opportunity).

If a candidates does not show on the training day, or where a course is scheduled over 2 or more days, and they do not attend one of the sessions, they will not receive a refund or receive certification.

Cancellation – In House Training (On site)

Any confirmed booking cancelled 21 days prior to the course start date will be refunded 75% of the deposit. If a confirmed booking is cancelled with less than 21 days prior to the course start date then no refunds will be made. However, if there is a request to reschedule the training then every effort will be made to find a suitable date agreeable to both parties, and the deposit will then be held over.

It will be possible for In House Training courses to make substitutions with prior notification.

Where course run over two or more days, candidates must attend all the scheduled days otherwise they count as a no show and therefore cannot pass the course.

Training Participation.

Candidates must be fit and well enough to participate in the course and be able to complete the practical elements of the course. First Aid courses require candidates to participate and demonstrate practical competences, and to work alongside other participants. Appropriate clothing is advised eg comfortable clothing and footwear.

All courses will start promptly. Where candidates are late it may be possible to enable them to catch up during the day by making up time. However, if they are unable to catch up due to lateness, then it will be treated as a cancellation.

Any candidates displaying anti-social behaviour will be withdrawn from the course. Racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminatory behaviour will require the candidate to withdraw from the course.

Mobiles will be switched to silent.

Certificates

All certificates will be issued within 7 days of the completion of the course providing all booking fees have been paid in full. Where replacement certificates are requested, an additional charge will be made.

Resources / Teaching Materials

All resources and teaching materials are included in the fees.

Cancellation by Sussex First Aid Training Centre

Every effort will be made to run training events. However, where there are insufficient candidates to make a course viable it may be necessary to either postpone or cancel the planned training. Full refunds will be given.

Force Majeure

We cannot be held responsible events, incidents or occurrences beyond the control of Sussex First Aid Training Centre that affect the provision of training on any given date. In any such instance, every effort will be made to re-schedule or find alternative arrangements.

Jurisdiction and Proper Law

This Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
